Well, two corageous sailors Sebastien Roubinet and Vincent Berthet chose this hybrid catamaran named Babouchka in an attempt to cross the Arctic and reach the North Pole in 2013.
Capable of sailing on both water and ice, they planned to measure polar ice thickness using onboard instruments powered by Solbian flexible solar panels, until the lack of wind ended their mission and the pair were rescued by an icebreaker.
